
The Latino Financial Issues Program (LFIP) is a university-community partnership that invites undergraduate and graduate level students to work through a year-long, integrated course of study and service-learning to promote wealth and asset building in the Latino community. Along the way, we expose our LFIP scholars to careers in economic development and financial services and give them a professional summer work experience where they can make a direct impact on the financial security of Latinos.
LFIP is a project of ACCIÓN Texas, the University of Texas at San Antonio and Arizona State University in partnership with:
• National Center for Community Development and Civil Rights at Arizona State University
• Inter-University Program for Latino Research at the University of Notre DameLFIP will be adding two additional program sites in 2007-2008 at the University of California at Los Angeles and the University of Notre Dame.
Participating universities include:
• University of Texas at San Antonio
• Arizona State University
• University of California at Los Angeles (2007-'08)
• University of Notre Dame (2007-'08)
